New fund launches - residential property

Interesting news for those that might be interested in getting involved with residential property, but maybe don't have the large lump sums required, don't want to take on a mortgage, or simply can't be bothered with the hassle of running it themselves.

Property investment firm Mansion Group has launched an open-ended student accommodation fund for the retail market. The Guernsey-based fund has just bought it's first property - student halls in Liverpool. Another fund about to be launched is the CR Property fund. British Land, King Sturge and Charles Russell Property Advisers are to launch a buy-to-let property fund, investing in a variety of prime properties in London.
